Praise the Lord

by Ronnie Hewitt
Wednesday night, Roger led us in a study of Psalm 103. As I spent some time the rest of the week reflecting on this chapter, I wanted to share some thoughts from it. This psalm expresses thanksgiving and praise (or blessing) to the Lord for the benefits and blessings that He bestows on His covenant people. We must never forget God’s goodness to us or fail to be thankful for His blessings showered on us through the Holy Spirit.

Please Stay

by Phil Ware,

When [the Samaritans] came out to see him, they begged him to stay in their village. So he stayed for two days, long enough for many more to hear his message and believe. — John 4:40-41

Will You Surrender

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28; NASB)
Relax; you don’t have to have it all figured out. All you need to do is come to Him. If you’re thinking, I have nothing to give or nothing to offer Jesus right now, that’s exactly where He wants you. He just wants dependency; He just wants you. You don’t have to clean yourself up to come to Jesus. You come to Jesus, and He cleans you up.
