Feeling Forgotten by God?

K-Love Ministries, 10-13-2017

“Be sure to fear the LORD and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things He has done for you.” (1Samuel 12:24, NLT)

If you’re feeling discouraged and forgotten by God, take some time this week to make a list of all the ways God has blessed you and been there for you. Spend a few minutes each morning reading that list and write down at least three things you’re grateful for. When you pray, spend a few moments at the front-end thanking God for who He is and what He’s done for you.

The more time you spend thinking of what God has done FOR you, and thanking Him for those things, the less worried and discouraged you’ll be.

If the Lord is God

by Wisdom Hunter, 9/28/2017

“How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” (1Kings 18:21, NIV)

The LORD calls His people to a singular devotion, loyalty, and love. He desires that we love Him above all else, that we look to Him for our identity, hope, and joy. Yet our hearts are so often divided, frequently pulled in different directions. It isn’t that we outright reject the LORD or His plan for our lives, it’s usually far more subtle. We instead try and place Him alongside other interests and pursuits, and herein lies the problem.
